Porcelain Veneers vs. DURAthin® Veneers

At Germantown Dental Group, we offer two different types of porcelain veneers to custom-tailor this popular cosmetic dentistry solution to your unique needs. Traditional porcelain veneers can simultaneously correct a wide range of tooth imperfections, such as chips, cracks, discoloration, and mild cases of misalignment. With traditional porcelain veneers, the affected teeth are prepared by removing a thin layer of enamel. The custom-designed veneers are then bonded with a durable dental cement and polished for a beautiful smile.

With DURAthin® prepless veneers, you have the option to rejuvenate the appearance of your teeth without removing any enamel. Nearly as thin as a contact lens, these veneers allow you to obtain a more youthful looking smile while simultaneously preserving your natural teeth. Ideal candidates for DURAthin® prepless veneers are typically patients with small, thin or worn teeth who wish to increase the size of a tooth or enhance a narrow arch width.

During the consultation process, our dentists will discuss which veneer option might be best for you. For more information about porcelain and DURAthin® prepless veneers, please contact us today.
